Eurydice Dixon’s accused killer Jaymes Todd pleads guilty

Nineteen-year-old Broadmeadows man Jaymes Todd has pleaded guilty to raping and murdering aspiring comedian Eurydice Dixon in Melbourne's inner-north earlier this year.

Ms Dixon's body was found by a passer-by on a soccer field in the Princes Hill sporting precinct on June 13.

Todd was arrested later that day after handing himself in to police.

He appeared via video link in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon, where he pleaded guilty to the rape and murder of Ms Dixon, as well as attempted rape and sexual assault.

Ms Dixon, 22, was walking home from a gig in the early hours of the morning when she was allegedly attacked by Mr Todd.

He was arrested after he presented at a police station after detectives released images of a man they wanted to speak to about Ms Dixon's death.

Magistrate Cameron ordered Todd to appear in the Victorian Supreme Court on November 13 for a directions hearing.

More to come.
