Asos isn’t a stranger to designing mad, bad and ridiculous items.
Remember those horrific bare bum jeans? Or the massive trousers it tried to pass off as a jumpsuit?
But the online fashion giant has outdone itself in the very-bad-idea-who-signed-off-on-this design department, with a belt choker.
Yep, Asos is selling a neck accessory…in the form of a belt.
Oh, and Just in case you didn’t find that offensive, the model advertising it is wearing a t-shirt saying ‘Hanger’.
It’s being sold for £45, comes in red and black and is called the Hanger Latex Flame Choker.
And you know what? People were pissed off about it.
Because, well, suicide probably shouldn’t be made into fashion inspo
£45 is daylight robbery for a belt

And generally, this is a terrible thing
They've literally just put a belt round her neck haven't they? It's not even a 'special' necklace. I've seen shop windows in Soho that sell these …

It’s not really on, for a multitude of reasons.
And Asos has now pulled the item from their website, even if it hasn’t actually responded to the online furore.
In fairness to the company, it didn’t actually name the belt – Hanger is the brand that designs that specific range of accessories.
But still, Asos did make the decision to feature the belt on its website and to model it in the way it has.
