Remember when your mum would cut a hole in a bin bag for Halloween and (with the addition of a spooky hat) youd be a witch for the day?

Would you like to recreate that as an adult for the cost of £645?

Well, your time is now young fashionista, thanks to Spanish fashion house Balenciaga.

The guys that brought us platform crocs, and a remake of an IKEA bag that cost £1,600 are back again with an outlandish style thatll likely be gracing the streets of Hackney in t-minus two days.

Now on sale in Selfridges, the self-titled Plastic-Bin shirt costs £645 first showed at Paris Fashion Week late last year.

It certainly makes a statement, and is made from 100% polyethylene – the same material used to make plastic bags.

The washing instructions havent been published, but it looks like a wet sponge would probably do the trick.

What youre really paying for with this garment though, is the branding. It features the brands name in big gold letters on the back, so everyone knows youre all about the fash.

Plastic might not be all the rage when it comes to packaging, but this isnt the only piece to hit the mainstream recently.

Celine is selling a plastic handbag for over £400, and Burberry released a sheer plastic mac ahead of 2018.

None of these incarnations have been quite so literal, however, which is why people are pretty shook at this green wonder.

Live and let live. You do you.

Perhaps just stock up on antiperspirant if you decide to wear this bad boy. Plastic bags dont do wonders for circulation.
